Rustic olive wood mortar with pestle – Ø 12 cm

Most mortars disappear into the cupboard after cooking. This one can stay out. The rustic olive wood mortar has an outer rim left just as the tree grew, with all its curves and small notches. The inside is sanded smooth, so that spices, herbs, and salt can be crushed cleanly.

With a diameter of about 12 cm, you have enough space for a pesto made from basil, pine nuts, and garlic, for a dip, or for your own spice blend. The matching pestle is included. Weighing around 0.5 kg, the mortar stands firmly on the worktop and does not move around while crushing.

Olive wood is hard and dense, which is why it withstands the pestle for years. Because the rim is left natural, every mortar looks different, and on the dining table with a few herbs in it, it looks just as good as a decoration.
