Modern Olive Wood Nativity Scene – MODERN LIFE

Many nativity scenes are lovingly carved, but don't quite fit into a bright, modern home. The "MODERN LIFE" olive wood nativity scene takes a different approach: Each figure is a simply polished block, and above all, their height reveals who is who.

Mary and Joseph are about 14 cm tall, the baby Jesus 5 cm, the shepherd and kings 7 cm, and the animals 4 cm. The rest is left to your imagination, and that is exactly what makes this nativity scene so special. You can choose between three versions:

• Type A: Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus
• Type B: plus a shepherd and two sheep
• Type C: plus a donkey and the Three Wise Men

The olive tree is closely associated with the Holy Land, and its warm, grained wood gives the simple shapes depth. The nativity scene takes up little space on a sideboard, windowsill, or mantelpiece. More decorations for the Advent season can be found under Christmas.
